Waves of Time...
by Tiffany Fisher
Throughout my lifetme,
aboard all the waves of time,
amid longlasting and short-lived love,
from under small rocks creep
the hearts of those who weep.
In regard to the living, one of a kind;
a man who seemed to forget
that he held the hand of time.
He fell in love one day and for his secret he let go,
and lived all well, with his key unturned.
Then one day his time had come and with his heart full
and his mind betrayed, he lay awake with the pain of knowing,
until he felt the life going.
In his mind the love was gone;
all thoughts were on the key to time,
and how it had slipped his mind.
Till dawn comes may no one be shunned,
within and without shall no one shout.
Together with life in mind will someone please
calm the waves of time?
And in the end when all is gone
nothing will matter for the time has come.
Love itself is the key,
so let it be known that the secret breathes,
and is passed on to all which lives.
Let all who go be the ones to know.
Turn the key to end the line,
and only then will the waves of time
end their savage lie,
to all mankind.
