Love Dance by Sunday B. Fakus

Love Dance
by Sunday B. Fakus

If passion were the rhythm of romance,
by which fears were cast in doubts,
then you and I were destined to dance
with our hearts closely synchronized.
You and I were meant for the leap
with our lips rhyming to silent hits;
Even though the night seemed to flee...
We still swung our hips to the beat.

And the scene became our passion's guide
while we held tightly, closer than the air...
We looked each other straight in the eyes
and moved our feet one at a time...
You and I swiftly rolled and turned
as we slowly moved from left to right;
even though the pleasure was brief,
our lips traced each other in kiss...

Hand in hand we simply danced all night,
in sweet embrace we gripped airtight,
I saw my dreams unfolded in your arms
as my eyes shed all their tears.
The mood was right and the time was ripe,
and the moment drove away all our fears.
The music played and the rhythm was great,
as you and I danced the greatest love dance.
