Sweet words you send me while we are apart.

I read them so slowly- to make them last longer
But soon they are over and soon YOU depart.

For, your letters transport me right to your side, dear,
And while I am reading I feel your kind heart.

I look o'er your shoulder to what you are writing
And leaving I kiss you, when time to depart.
